Quick Holiday Packing Tips for Those on the Move
21 November 2016It’s the time of the year again when the packing list comes out….to pack for your year-end vacation. Fret Not! Here are some top holiday packing checklist to make your holiday easy.
Tip # 1
Choose whether you want to bring a suitcase on wheels or a carry-all. Go for a chic, understated style, in a block colour. Always choose a bigger size on four wheels case than you think you will need.
Tip #2
Lay out your case up to a week before your trip, adding holiday clothes and accessories in as and when you remember them.
Tip #3
Always lay shoes in first and in pairs on the sides. Fill in any gaps with belts, jewellery and lingerie. Then lay clothes flat.
Tip # 4
For tangle free jewellery on the move, store daily treasures in a daily pill dispenser for a less costly alternative to a jewellery roll or pouch.
Tip #5
Do not pack things you will never wear at home. For example, beach towels and zip off leg cargo trousers take up far too much precious space.
Tip #6
Pack knitwear in neutral shades that can be worn with a variety of different outfits. A shirt is another staple piece every lady must include on her packing list. It’s versatile and can be worn under a snug sweater or alone if the temperature starts to pick up.
Tip #7
To keep clothes smelling fresh as daisy when travelling, add in a scented lavender bag. Also pack dirty laundry in one of these sweet scented bags.
Tip #8
Pack wardrobe in no more than 3 tones. In this way you will not end up with one side of your case that does not even see the light of day. Do not pack pieces you cannot wear with 2 different pieces. In this way, you can save your excess baggage fee.
Happy Holidays!
